George believes that even the smallest forgotten things can carry big stories. Through No Box, he turns a lost sock into a gentle reminder that life does not always give us perfect matches — but it can still give us connection, courage, and new beginnings.
His work blends imagination, quiet humour, and emotional truth, creating stories for anyone who has ever felt misplaced and still hoped to belong.
George Mak is the pen name of George Makaronidis, an industrial designer in Thessaloniki who works as Signmak.
The idea behind NO BOX
NO BOX is the wider philosophy and world; Perfectly Unmatched is the book at its heart. The phrase refuses to reduce a person or a life to one label, one loss, one expected pattern, or one approved form of love. It does not mean having no identity or history — it means letting a life be larger than the compartments that first named it.
